This department embraces Kindergarten and Preparatory classes, ages 5 and 6 respectively. 

Pupils are housed in one of the three buildings that make up the school's premises and are divided into two groups per year, with an average of twenty children per class. Mornings are dedicated to the "3 R's" that is Reading Writing and Arithmetic, and afternoons to recreational activities such as Handwork, Singing, Art and Physical Education.

Kindergarten and Preparatory offer rich, stimulating and challenging programmes which have been specially designed taking into account that children must enjoy and value the learning process they are initiating.

Children's different stages of readiness when embarking on a full day, demanding programme are respected.
