At St. Andrew's,
English is taught as a first language. The instruction provided
is content-based and cross-curricular. There is an emphasis on
high standards of reading, writing and arithmetic. Through
social studies, pupils develop cultural awareness in the target
language. Drama, singing and art are fundamental in further
making our children familiar with the rich British heritage.
Each pupil is
considered unique. Therefore, the School caters for different
learning styles and intelligences.
Our staff is composed of
experienced and perceptive teachers who work with dedication and
care, so that each child has the opportunity of developing
fully.
A range of
traditional values is the backbone of our school's philosophy.
Honesty, punctuality, courtesy, civility and fair play are
deeply encouraged among our pupils. Discipline, in its broadest
sense holds an important place of its own. Our aim is to
instill in our pupils, a sense of responsibility
and hard work, qualities that will prove essential in their
future.
