Form VI – Remembrance Day

On this special date Form VI students participated in the Remembrance Day ceremony organised by the UK Embassy. The children are extremely proud to have been part of it, and found every aspect of it interesting.

According to Ms Edbrooke: “As a teacher, it was gratifying to see them understand the solemnity of the occasion, not only due to its link to the World Wars (which we study in Form VI) but also to more recent conflicts such as the one in Afghanistan, which we also worked on bit this year. It is always wonderful to see how something which is often very abstract becomes, to a certain extent, more concrete”.

We think it was also valuable for them to have participated in such a typical British commemoration, and to have experienced an aspect of British culture first hand.
