Form V camping trip to Salto

Our Form V students recently enjoyed an unforgettable camping trip to Salto, full of learning, discovery and fun.

On their way north, they stopped to visit two fascinating natural and historical landmarks — Grutas del Palacio and Meseta de Artigas — where they learned about the region’s geological and cultural heritage.

Upon arrival in Salto, the group headed straight to the Termas del Daymán, where they relaxed and enjoyed the thermal waters after a long journey.

The following day began with a guided visit to the Salto Grande Dam, an experience that allowed the children to see first-hand how hydroelectric energy is produced. Afterwards, they spent a fun-filled afternoon at Acuamanía water park.

Before heading back to Montevideo, they spent their last morning at Parque Horacio Quiroga, enjoying its water attractions and open spaces.

It was a wonderful trip that combined adventure, learning, and friendship — a perfect way to close this stage of the year.
